The morning started with the guys preparing at Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa, while the girls got ready in the wine cellar at The Apiary in Lexington. The contrast between the two spaces was perfect. The bright hotel suite paired with the cozy, moody glow of the wine cellar made for such a stunning visual story.

Even though rain lingered in the forecast, it never came. Instead, the clouds softened the light just enough to make every photo glow. It was exactly the kind of light photographers hope for on wedding mornings.

A Private Reveal & A Father’s First Look

Before the ceremony, Emily and Orbie shared a private reveal in one of the quiet rooms inside The Apiary. It was simple, emotional, and exactly what they needed to connect before stepping into the day together.

But one of my favorite parts was when Emily did a first look with her dad. His reaction was a mix of pride and tenderness, and one of those moments that stays with you long after the day ends.

The courtyard is lush and private, and when you walk into the Orangerie, the glass-walled reception hall, it quite literally glows.

Emily and Orbie’s reception celebration was held there, surrounded by candlelight, laughter, and the quiet hum of conversation. As the sun set, the room filled with that perfect golden light that made every frame feel alive. It’s the kind of space that doesn’t need much as the architecture and atmosphere create their own magic.
