Sarah and Troy’s wedding at The Refinery in Jeffersonville was just truly special. As their wedding photographer, I got to capture every laugh, tear, and sweet surprise that made this day unforgettable. This modern venue offered the perfect mix of charm and style for their celebration, and it’s easily one of my favorite places to photograph.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of photographing dozens of weddings across Southern Indiana and Kentucky, and venues like The Refinery always stand out. My work has been featured by wedding blogs and shared by countless happy couples, and I bring that experience to every wedding I shoot. Whether you’re just starting your wedding planning or scouting venues in Southern Indiana, I hope this blog post gives you inspiration and insight, and a glimpse into what your wedding could look like at The Refinery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

If you’re dreaming of a venue that’s both stylish and versatile, The Refinery wedding venue in Jeffersonville, IN checks all the boxes. It’s right in the heart of downtown, which gives it a fun urban vibe while still feeling intimate and warm.
The venue features four unique spaces: three indoor areas and one outdoor courtyard. Each has its own vibe, which means we can capture a wide variety of looks and lighting throughout the day. Whether you want an open, airy feel or something a bit more moody and romantic, this venue delivers.
Most of my couples love how easy it is to transition between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location. With space for 120-450 guests, tables and chairs included, and beautiful decor details, it really takes the stress out of planning.
You can check out all the current pricing and package info on their official pricing page.
Sarah started her day at the Omni Hotel, which is one of the nearby go-to spots for wedding prep. The rooms are filled with natural light, which makes for absolutely dreamy photos. The vibe was relaxed and full of anticipation.
She gave her bridesmaids personalized Polaroid photo holders and plenty of tissues (which were definitely put to good use!). I loved documenting these quiet moments; they add so much depth to the story of the day.

Their ceremony took place at St. Augustine Church in Jeffersonville. This historic catholic church is filled with gorgeous stained glass and warm wood tones. It created such a beautiful contrast to the modern vibe of The Refinery, and the natural light streaming through the windows gave everything a glow.
Watching Sarah and Troy exchange vows in a space so rich with meaning was a true honor. It’s the kind of setting where emotion and elegance meet.

After the ceremony, we headed to The Refinery in Jeffersonville, IN for a reception that was full of joy, dancing, and personal touches.
One of my favorite details? The silent disco. Sarah and Troy actually had their first date at a silent disco at Pearl Street Taphouse, so bringing that into their wedding day was such a unique and meaningful choice. It was a blast to photograph everyone dancing with headphones on, totally in their own worlds but all celebrating together.
They also served local ice cream in individual cups (so fun!) and had a garter toss that ended with a torn shirt, which made for some hilarious photos.
What I love most about The Refinery is how easily it adapts to the couple’s vision. The open layout, warm lighting, and indoor-outdoor flow made it easy to move from speeches to dancing without ever losing the energy of the evening.

From a photographer’s perspective, The Refinery in Jeffersonville photos always shine. The clean lines, varied textures, and beautiful lighting give me so much to work with.
I especially love using the courtyard for portraits during golden hour. Whether it’s a candid first look, group photos, or a private moment between the couple, the venue provides endless backdrops that elevate every image.

If you have out-of-town guests, there are some great hotel options nearby. The Omni Hotel is a favorite for many of my couples, and it’s just a short drive from the venue. There are also several charming boutique inns and downtown stays that make logistics simple and stress-free.
Having everyone nearby also means more time celebrating and less time coordinating travel, a win all around!
